The email I used then was not in any other use, totally dead and never used elsewhere either. I had only subscribed to those two networks and suddenly the huge amounts of spam started with real first name in the title. Of course I have no solid proof but that was all too convenient as the spam is all porn related too. During that time I only had used that email for subscribing to DDF and 21Sextury. Threatening and asking for settlements is outright wrong and in my opinion a bigger crime than free loading. I understand that in some countries you end up losing more money to lawyers even if you win than what the demanded settlement was. Add the fact that in some societies porn is so unaccpeted still that people are more likely to pay up than defend themselves even in cases where someone else did the loading. Most of the other methods are hurting the paying customer while pirates still get their stuff. DRM, streaming, even nag screens that you cannot skip at the beginning of DVD's, they only hurt the ones who pay. The only way is to make paying more attractive. That means giving at least what the free loaders get. Preferably more. Don't withold your latest releases to sell them on DVD's first, stop releasing stuff drop by drop etc. If the pirate gets new DVD the day it comes out, why do subscribers wait for weeks and months (that is if it ever gets released on the website). DVD studios are especially guilty of this.

There are often more than five per day so I can see those waiting for a day never being able to post theirs...

When it should give cheaper prices to those living in countries of lower GDP thus reducing piracy, it actually makes the sites more expensive in poorer countries. Well, Switzerland and Norway may be exceptions to that. I guess you get euro prices there too and people probably earn more than Americans. Not sure if 1.43 times more though and that's the current exchange rate. I repeat also my comment that TBP should make sure that the special prices they are given by sites apply to members from all countries

Both limit my viewing to the subscription period but with DRM I'm not limited to viewing in browser, interrupted by occassional bad data rates etc. Still, they both suck (streaming as an option is nice but as the only method of viewing not)

It gets ridiculous when a Russian or East European site starts charging locals more when it is obvious that the lesser paying Americans earn a lot more. In other industries the regional pricing at least makes some sense. They give poorer areas cheaper price to prevent piracy. There's also the thing that some sites that have special price for TBP and PU do not actually give it to non Americans. I wonder if they even mention it when doing the deal with TBP... Since we are an international community no matter where the actual server might be located, I strongly think TPB should take a more stern attitude towards regional pricing. I've joined one site with regional pricing because I was able to navigate around it. I'm not going to join a single one where I have to pay more than some other people for no reason.
