A few days ago I received 3 emails all referring to an old (about a year ago) subscription I had with them.
The first 2 said I'd taken out a membership, the third - an hour later - stated my membership had been cencelled.
What's happening here - I certainly didn't rejoin.
'Apparently' no money has been taken from my account, although the card I used for that membership had no money in it, so I can't be sure they didn't try to pull a fast one. I contact Epoch (their processor) and they confirmed no money had been taken, but still seems a little didgy to me !
They still haven't replied to my email requesting details about the emails, and I find it worrying.
As it was said in my review, I had very bad experience with Karups. First of all I believe that it is cheating on billing. Second, the quality is poor. Even recent photos look like they were made 15 years ago. The most of the vdeos are unfocused and filmed with terrbly overused close-up. So do not pay for nothing
I liked this site, it competes well with Videobox and has thousands of scenes. Be careful where your cursor is. One wrong click on an image or a logo next to the scene and you will be billed $40 within minutes. I was going to go for a 1 year membership before this happened. Not now.
Some people will like this site. The photography and lighting are good, the girls are hot. However, in the few dozen scenes I watched the extreme closeups dominated the movie, which is a turn off for me. Photographers that spend most of the scene a foot away from the action do the actors and the viewer a disservice. Disappointing.
I have been joining Kink.com sites for at least a decade and in the past have found it at the top of the pack in quality of service. Suddenly 2 or 3 days ago my downloads (normally 800-1200 KB/s) screeched to school zone speed (42 KB/s) which is useless since I don't care to stay connected for 6 hours for the download of one scene.
Downloads from other non-Kink sites seem normal (a sample from firm hand spanking downloaded at 500 KB/s which is normal for their site), so I can't blame my computer, browser, or Internet service provider.
E-mailed them Friday, but no reply because of the holiday weekend. Just curious if anyone else has experienced problems with Kink.com these last few days. Would appreciate knowing that I'm not alone.
I've been a member for about 6 months now. The product is unique and enjoyable. As the reviewer noted it can easily get expensive.
The software is free. They make money by selling shows which they call cards. A card consists of 15-20 individual clips all of the same model in the same costume. Each clip is from 15 seconds to about 3 minutes in length. Some clips are fully clothed. Some clips are strip tease. Some start naked. Some have props like a dance pole. Typically, they will hire one model to create 5-6 cards during a 2-3 day recording session. They release about 5 new cards every week. Most cards are solo acts, but they have a few pairs.
There are a variety of ways to buy cards. A subscription will get you a random choice of cards each week, not simply the newest. This is the cheapest per card, but you have no choice. The most expensive way to get cards is to buy them at full price, $2 per. There is a middle ground. All cards eventually rotate through a demo area where you can sample some short fully clothed clips and buy the cards a half price. I've bought most of my cards through the demo route.
One of the other comments here was that customer service is nonexistent. That's not quite right, but it is not very responsive. However, the forum on the web site has very helpful moderators. Before you spend a lot of money, visit the forum and read some of the message threads. The web site also lists all the available models and shows so you can get a good idea of what's out there.
Over the years, they have improved the technical quality of the cards. The original cards were 480p of vertical resolution. These are now essentially obsolete, but some "best of" collections are still available as "classic" cards. The oldest regular cards are 720p. For the past 2 years all cards were recorded in 1080p. These start at about card 600. However, they were released at 720p. Since about card 900, all new cards have been released at both 720 and 1080. They are now reediting and rereleasing the cards between 600 and 900 in 1080p. They claim and the newest cards have been recorded at about 1600p and that they will be releasing 1600p versions of those cards real soon now.
Other than improving the resolution of the cards, they have been very slow to add new features. The web forum is full of requests and recommendations for improving the product, but very little seems to have been done over the 6 month's I've been present. However, as a software developer myself, I must admit that adding new functions and testing them is time consuming. It is clear to me that they have a very limiting software development staff.
The software essentially presents clips (not cards) in random order. It is possible to make playlists of selected cards to control what you see, but not much more. However, there is third-party software that will let you create multi-clip shows to more exactly suit your tastes.
I added on a group of sites called the "SuperPack" to my BB membership. I received an email with the joining information (with the same username and password as my main membership) and with a link for customer service that was different from my main membership. I followed the link to cancel the SuperPack membership and it's the same page as the main site where you have to select which site you want to cancel but "SuperPack" isn't listed. My confirmation email said I joined through Dancing Bear (which is part of the Pack) but the site said I didn't have a membership there.
Also, there is a two-part captcha where one part of it has to be the most difficult to decipher that I've ever seen.
I haven't had any billing issues, but my advice is to cancel any add-ons early in case you have problems. I've sent them and email and I'm hoping that cancellation isn't a more of a problem than it is already.
Page loads are now excruciatingly slow most of the time (20-30 seconds or longer). Streaming videos are hit or miss - many don't even work. Downloadable videos are hosted on three different domains, all of which behave differently. It seems they are moving everything to Cloudfront (Amazon CDN). Cloudfront and the other newer server (Videobox-branded, don't know anything else about this one) are both unfriendly to download managers. If you queue several downloads, the ones further down the queue will likely have their authentication expire, and you will have to go back to each individual page to restart the download. I've joined this site many times in the past - this time I cancelled immediately. No longer recommended unless you'd rather spend WAY more time browsing than actually watching anything.
Also, I'm sure it's been noted, but the VAST majority of "new" movies added are old movies I've already seen recycled so many times i could probably recite the interviews. I'm pretty sure they're going for a record on how many times they can call the same New Sensations title "new". This seems even worse than it used to be, not a deal breaker but sort of annoying to sift through. Their "recently popular" section helps with this, but mainly just gives you two sections to check for new content (and more time spent waiting for pages to load).
Have anyone experienced any issues due to inappropriate use of personal information?
Any recommendations on what to look for before signing up in a new site will be more than welcome.
Love the site! Tired of all the "produced porn", you do provide some awesome stuff, so hat's off to you! However, I do have some complaints:
1. Model naming is very inconsistent. Choose one girl in one shoot, she's called another name in the next shoot etc.(I know it's hard to keep track of all the girls you and other's shot and then to then encode and publish it, but if you have the option to browse by model on your site, you might want to add some attention to that)
2. An option to disable autoplay of the videos when entering a model's page would be appreciative. It would save your bandwith as well I think.
3. Update the design. I don't care that much for it really, but it's looking old!
4. SPEED! Download speed is kind of slow (200-500 kb/s), and there seems to be a limit of simultaneous downloads.
I've recently started subscribing to sites for a year at a time because, after doing the math, I realize I spend that much at my favorite sites anyway and the longer memberships are usually great values. Usually...except...not with nubiles.net. A 1 year membership with Nubiles WITH the PU discount is $209.00!!! $209??? Wow, that is a lot! A regular, undiscounted 1 year membership with Met Art is $99. Femjoy: $99. MC Nudes: $99. Twisty's: $119. Als Scan: $139. There are a couple of sites that charge $150 or so for a 1 year membership, but very, very few that charge $209. Since there is no real incentive for me to sign up for a year (3 months free compared to others 6 months free), I guess I will have to join for a month or two and then quit for awhile like I used to do. Oh well... A pain for me and a loss of revenue for them.
According to Duke, this site does not come with bonus access to the No Rest Network sites, but according to the preview home page it does. Either way, it's good to see the No Rest Network out of hibernation even though it is under new management.
The site is still amazing in quality and content all these years. Heading towards the 1000 photo/video shoot. The erotic locations they work in are bar none the best on the net. The backgrounds it self takes you to places you never would have seen. The very best models doing the sites niche theme. They take you into the crack. Downloads are fast. For fans of the past it is well worth a look. Been a member several times and it is still my favorite site. My hat off to the staff.
Just wanted to let you know that Private is at present offering a 2 days trial, but it only allows you to view and download 5 episodes of your choice. It also reminds you continually (and annoyingly) that you can access everything by upgrading.
Well.. title says it all I guess.
Whenever I'm downloading something from this site, my internet connection goes kabooom. I can't browse, I can't load other pages. It is as if my connection is being reduced to 56k modem times. I can cap my bandwidth, no effect. This is the only site where this happens.
Anyone else got the same problem? Any ideas how to solve this?
The site has a price of $29.95, not $34.95 per PU/TBP. If, after launching the preview site, you close it out without signing up, you will be offered a 20% discount to join. That yields a price of $23.96.
The PU price of $34.95 does not show up on the join page.
Nothing. Sadly this site is completely untouched. There is a slight redesign, but no new content. In fairness, I think I remember reading somewhere the Dylan is retired - but I'd have thought they might have acquired some of her other content.
I rejoined to see how things were now that OpenLife took over this site.
I still love Ashley and her great content. However updates are still too infrequent. There were some nice updates and I feel I got my money's worth - but the update schedule will definitely leave you wanting more.
Just thought I'd chime in with my impressions. I've been a member of this site for over a month and haven't had any shady billing issues yet. Like people have said, they do some tricky things to make you think you have access to things you don't, but if you're careful and only click on things that are part of the "BangBros Pack" then you should be fine. It is frustrating though.
The main "HOME" page of the members area is full of sites you don't have access to, but it's displayed in a way that could trick you into thinking you have access to those sites. At the top of this "HOME" page it says: "Your Library - Listing of the products you have access to", but you don't actually have access to most of these sites unless you pay another $19.95. When they say "Listing of the products you have access to", they don't actually mean these sites are part of your current membership, they mean you can add access these sites if you pay more...so, their wording is somewhat deceptive when they say "Listing of the products you have access to"...but problems can be avoided if you are careful and have read the warnings in the comments and reviews here on The Best Porn.
Rather than just take you to the area where you actually have true access (such as the "BANGBROS" tab or "ALL WEBSITES" tab at the top of the site), they start you out in an area full of sites that you don't have access to yet. However, the thumbnails for these sites have small lettering under the image that says "get full access for $19.95", so there is at least something there to indicate that you don't have access yet...but if you don't pay attention, I can see how you'd think you had access to one of these upsell sites.
Basically all you need to know is - when you enter the members area, go to the top and click on the "ALL WEBSITES" tab - this will take you to the sites that you actually have access to with your current membership. This is the area that should be the "HOME" page, not the area they have now.
Also, when you watch streaming videos, there will be thumbnails for other videos along the right side that might be for sites you don't currently have access to. Or when you click on a certain girl's profile, it will show all of her videos - but there may be videos mixed in there that are on sites you don't have access to. So you have to be aware of the sites that are part of your "BangBros Pack" and make sure to only click on those videos. I haven't clicked on the wrong video yet, so I can't confirm if you are automatically billed for sites just by clicking on the video.
Other than these annoyances, it's a good site with a ton of content. I'll have a full review in a few weeks.
Site network looked like it could have some interesting content on it, with some new faces, but it was a big letdown. Not much content on each of the network sites, movies can't be downloaded and pics are not very well-shot. The pics also have way too many duplicate images, and they can only be saved as large zip files. Also, not all videos have accompanying photos sets. If you don't care about pictures or being able to save movies, you might like this network, but you should still probably give it several more months to grow before shelling out for a membership, since there are only about 60 videos so far across the entire network.
Bad enough that it seems the majority of the videos now show up with the message "upsellplus.php" where the "upgrade" is $29.99 for 30 days... but even the "low resolution" 1500kbs per second yield the same upsell message. OK so it costs 19.99 to join but then another 29.99 for the better videos??? What the ell!
Example: "Lexi Bell" searched under the term "Porn Stars" shows 60 results. After clicking the first 10 videos all of them with the upsellplus message (both 2500kbs and 1500kbs) its obvious the people running this site have an issue telling the difference between smart business practices and greed.
In recent months they have been splitting their photo sets up in to 2 or 3 parts so instead of a complete photo set every day you now only get a half or third of a photo set for your daily update and usually have to wait 1 to 2 weeks to complete the set. A disappointing development for one of my once favourite sites.
