Lately they have not been placing the picture zip files until a day or to later, and if you keep track of the up dates or up coming videos, you might notice sometimes the updates are short one update posting. Small draw back, but I did notice a lot of comments on brazzers about there later posting of the zip files. Still a pretty good site for the money. My personal thought.
Iv just joined this site , downloading video,s isnt the problem, when i get to the main page and pick a scene to watch ,the scene doesnt show itself on my tv screen, i get the internet using wi-fi on the ps3 , it seems that the only way to watch a film is Flash video streaming, my ps3 is supposed to have the adobe flash player installed so i cant understand why the films are,nt playing on screen. My samsung tablet plays video,s easily thru flash, anyone out there any idea.s why the films arent playing. .
Warning - this organisation does not register cancellations
A warning to anyone who may join a site from this organisation - they do not appear to register cancellations. For the second time in as many months, I had to go to live support to cancel my membership. They told me I did not receive a cancellation confirmation, because my cancellation had not been registered. I would suggest you cancel very close to joining, because it may well take some time and effort to cancel once you have joined.
I took up their $5/£5 discount offer even though they have pre checked cross selling and regional discrimination. The renewal is significantly higher, so I'm willing to steal at steal prices, but not willing to pay a fair price for reasonable content from organisations who are going to try and trick or cheat you. I can't argue with the content, and I can't argue with live support, who although it took some time to find someone available, were efficient once I contacted them.
I suppose the lesson is, if you are going to pay for membership to an organisation with questionable practices, you will have to be prepared to put in some time and effort to avoid being ripped off. Buyer beware.
Had a little free time last week so I hopped onto this one via the $3, 3 day full trial through TBP. I didn't spend a lot of time here and I think the recent reviews and comments pretty much cover it. Just a few notes of my own:
I made a mistake by failing to notice the "no zips" warnings regarding the photos. Major Bummer as this definitely hurts the site since they offer up to 500 pics on some sets. Most photo sets across the network have nothing of value because they only have 8 to 40 pics but there is no way of knowing how my photos are in a set until you click on the scene you want to see. The internet Stone Age applications continue if you actually go into see the pics (they are good sized at roughly 1200 x 2000) and click on the photo thumbnails. If you click on 6 thumbnails on a page and make the pics full size that means 12 or more back page clicks to navigate back to the previous page. You get the idea here, ignore the pics.
Vids are all over the board. If it has an update stamp before 2010/2011 then it's not worth viewing as it means the scene was probably shot a long time ago and is grainy even at 480x640 resolution. The "540p" or "web hd" is something different that comes up on some recent vids but I found it to only be marginally better than standard resolution (I've never seen a camera with "540p resolution" settings so they're just doing some compressing of an hd file or enlarging a standard vid). The most recent vids have HD (probably several hundred across the network) and all are pretty much professionally done.
There is a fair amount of overlap with most vids appearing on at least 2 sites. The updates are not indicative of when a scene was filmed, I saw some updates within the last year that feature girls who left porn a long time ago. Navigation involves a lot of clicking and really needs to be upgraded. Be aware that the porn star directory is not complete on some sites. Really the best way to get around is to go to an individual site and start cruising the dvd scenes using their search tags (unfortunately you can only search one tag / category at a time).
There is a wide variety of porn to suit just about anyones taste with about 16,000 vids in total, although I'd say only about 1000 scenes have hd standards. I like the look and feel of the Devil's Film, Daring Film and Low Art films as they seem to be offering up more than just standard shoots, actually some artistic thought and production went into the scenes they shoot.
Like I said, I didn't spend much time here and since I'm more of a pic guy the lack of zips pretty much dampened my mood right off. I'd probably score this site in the 82-85 range if I did a full on review.
This is nothing too serious, but knowing this might save some aggravation when joining.
The site bills through Epoch and when you go to join there is one pre-checked cross-sell to Jordanís other site, The Ass Factory. There is also an unchecked cross-sell to Team Skeet for a seven day membership. I unchecked the choice for The Ass Factory since it only had less than a dozen updates in the past three months or so, and I checked the Team Skeet option because that seemed like a good deal.
The problem with the Team Skeet membership is that it is only a TRIAL membership and only allows you to stream one scene. It doesnít allow downloads. Iíll admit that I may have missed something, but I donít recall that the up-sell mentioned this was only a trial membership.
The more annoying issue is that when you go to the Jules Jordan site and select for recent updates they are laid out in a grid pattern. At the top of the grid is a banner ad for The Ass Factory. The problem is that the first three scenes listed are actually from The Ass Factory and clicking on them brings an Epoch confirmation page where you have to opt in. It wasnít clear what I needed to confirm so I did that thinking I was confirming my Jules Jordan membership and now have a membership to The Ass Factory too.
Iím fairly sure that I bear a lot of the blame for this. I suspect that if I could go back and re-read the join pages that the information was buried in there somewhere, but some of the blame has to go to Jules Jordanís site for making the information a bit confusing. Iím sure Iím not the first person to draw these conclusions based on the available information, but with any luck Iíll be the last PU member to make this mistake.
I subscribed to this site, and I am glad I did. Lot of high quality content, really good videos relative to what you may find on other DVD sites.
But they dont seem to update very often and the last video clip was 3 weeks ago.
This is not a problem now because the existing selection is pretty large.
But I will have to think a bit on the renewal because of the update frequency. Perhaps I will find they put a lot of dvds out there over the course of a full year, and I should be ignoring the week to week stuff.
I have not made up my mind yet because the content quantity and quality is really good despite the update concern.
has anyone ever really figured out what the download limit is here?
When I reviewed this network a long time ago I couldn't figure out what the download limit actually was. Some days I was allowed to download 12GB, other half that. But other members here said they had no limit imposed.
The clause in the Terms of Reference that is quoted or paraphrased at TBP is that there is a daily limit of 10 gigabytes of data each day, and additionally up to 15 big movies. I emailed the site back in 2011 to ask what that meant and go no answer.
But now the mystery has deepened a bit. I just went back to the site to confirm the wording in the TOS and there is no mention of the limit. I searched for every term I could think that would be used in that clause and got nothing.
So are there any current subscribers who can provide some insight into this issue? In her recent review at TBP, Vanessa doesn't mention it but it is still mentioned in the site stats.
I've been meaning to do a new review for this mess but it's so hard to access the site that I may not even be able to do so before my membership runs out. If I do finally get access to the site then I will post a more recent review but for now please, please don't join this site because you will regret the loss of that 20$.
I signed up for Naughty America yesterday (a return for me) because I have always liked the site and wanted to see what's new. At first glance I like the changes they've made, at least most of them.
But in addition to the usual tabs (Home, Porn Finder, Our Sites) they added a new tab, "Specials". When I clicked on it I got a display of several sites that looked like what we usually see as pop-up ads. However when I clicked on one just to see what was offered I found that that one click resulted in my creating a subscription to that site. I found that out when I got a confirming email.
The biller is Epoch. So I used their Chat feature and asked them to reverse the charge for the unintended sign-up. They reversed the charge so no harm no foul.
However, it's a new "trick," sort of like the old game of cross sells, that all PU's who are Naughty America members need to watch.
I joined this site the other day and when I checked my credit card statement, it showed that I was charged an additional $174(!) for something called "Explicit Cams" that I never ordered or used (they were trying to claim I ordered an 86 minute cam show). I also got an e-mail from the Explicit Cam support center that I had requested an increase of my daily limit to $175. None of this was true. I know this was all related to the Lethal HC charge because the 800 number on my statement next to the $174 charge took me directly to Lethal's billing support. After haggling with them for half an hour, I finally got them to agree to drop the charge, which is supposedly going to be reversed in a week or two. But they never gave me any explanation of why this charge appeared in the first place or gave me any reason to think it won't happen again. Bottom line: I won't be signing up to this site again, and I'd advise anyone else to be extra careful with them.
You do not get the same navigation choices if you enter a site through Fame Digital, than by going directly to the site.
For instance, if you enter a site through Fame Digital, and go to DVDs section, you can make use of a list of DVDs and a list of categories, but if you enter the site directly, and go to the DVDs section, you get a list of DVDs, a list of series, and a list of pornstars.
This is one of the more crappy sites, I've joined - ever - and that ought to say a lot.
She's somewhat of a knockout - but the site is certainly not. It promisses HD vids - it's not HD the 8 there are all together - and no download - but oh, you can buy the crap.
Then there's a lot of small - and misrable vids i low resolution - a resolution any site ten years ago would be embarrassed to show....
If I ever seen a rip off.........
I have now noticed for several days, that the download limit is by around 5/5.5 GB a day (June 2013). After that amount you are blocked for 24 hours. It makes this network really not very userfriendly!!
There's only one review in this recent flood that I would call balanced and fair. The others seem disproportionately biased. None of them seem to justify why their scores are so much higher than any of the other sites reviewed here on PU. Most of the pros seem applicable to most sites reviewed on Porn Users.
It makes me angry that their site admin sends people here to write such glaringly unbalanced reviews. It comes across as desperate and because episodes like this ruin the integrity that PU has, I won't be joining the site out of principle.
They remind me of myself, five years ago. I had subscribed to an erotic site for the first time and it blew me away. I let the webmaster know how much I liked her (his) site and Abby (Winters) suggested that I publish my high opinion in Porn Users. Of course, I did not do a review but made a comment instead. I did not see myself as a shill for the site and saw nothing wrong with it. If I remember right, quite a few climbed all over me for that. BTW, I am still grateful to Abby Winters for sending me here.
Tia has now retired and there are no updates scheduled on her website, at least for the time being. She announced to members her retirement several months ago, so compared to most sites where the model just goes AWOL, she has been great at keeping people informed.
